About Coach Vinnedge

I have experienced all levels of football. I have been teaching kids how to kick for over 15 years. I enjoy working with kickers and teaching the skills that I have learned to get me a full ride scholarship to the University of Wyoming and a shot in the NFL to the local kids of the Central Coast. My goal is to make the Central Coast a powerhouse with Top Kicking College Prospects. A little bit of Information about my football career is listed below:

San Diego Chargers: I was a kicker/punter for the Chargers. It was an experience of a lifetime because I got to play with the best of the best. I was able to kick with two of the best in the league: Mike Scifres and Nate Kaeding. I learned valuable tips from these two Pro Bowlers and also got top instruction from one of the best NFL Special Teams Coaches Steve Crosby.

University of Wyoming: My senior year I handled all kicking duties at the University of Wyoming. I was an all-conference selection for football as well as for academics. I was 16 for 20 on Field Goals with a long of 57. I averaged 43 yards per punt with 30 inside the 20. My junior year I averaged 43.2 yards per punt, ranking No. 4 in the Mountain West Conference and No. 21 nationally. I placed 30 percent of my punts inside the opponents' 20-yard line (18 of 61 punts). I started all 12 games for the Cowboys my Junior and Senior Years.

Allan Hancock Junior College: I was a two-year starter and two-year All-Western State Conference North Division selection at Allan Hancock Community College in Santa Maria, Calif. I earned Honorable Mention All-American honors my sophomore season, and was an Academic All-Conference honoree. In 2005, I ranked No. 5 among all California Community College punters, averaging 42.0 yards per punt. I placed 17 of my 33 punts inside the opponents' 20-yard line, with a long punt of 70 yards during the 2005 season. As a freshman, I averaged 41.8 yards per punt, and placed 12 punts inside the opponents' 20-yard line, with a long punt of 65 yards

High School: I played at Arroyo Grande High School in Arroyo Grande, Calif. I earned 10 varsity letters in high school -- three each in football and baseball and four in soccer. I was both a place-kicker and punter in football, played goalie in soccer and played multiple positions in baseball. My senior year of high school, I was named the California State Kicker of the Year, averaging 48.0 yards per punt -- the third highest average in California High School history. I also hit 10 of 12 field goals as a senior, including career bests of 52 and 54 yards. I earned All-CIF and All-Los Angeles Times in football as a senior. I was also named All-CIF, First Team All-County and First Team All-Conference in baseball as a senior. As a goalie in soccer, I earned First Team All-League. I was elected a team captain in all three sports my senior year.

Personal: I currently live in Arroyo Grande, CA with my wife, Trina, and daughter Chloe. I have my Masters Degree in Coaching and Exercise Science from Concordia University Irvine and my Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of Wyoming. I work for NASA Launch Services Program as a Launch Site Support Engineer at Vandenberg Space Force Base. I am also the Head Men's and Women's Soccer Coach at Allan Hancock Community College. On my free time I enjoy working around the ranch, golfing, team roping, and hanging out with family.
